Casper's annual 5150' Festival is a celebration of everything that makes the town of Casper so great. It showcases local creators, great food, live music, and all-day activities the entire family can enjoy. The festival is held each August at David Street Station downtown.
The College National Finals Rodeo (CNFR) is the best college rodeo, and Casper residents are privy to it each year. For more than two decades, the CNFR has carved out a niche for itself in Casper. There is nowhere else in the world you can find all of these elite college athletes and animals together, competing to be crowned the best of the best. It's a pure western tradition and an incredible experience with several events, including bareback riding, bull riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, goat tying, and more.
Beartrap Summer Festival is a recurring summer music event held in Casper each August atop Casper Mountain at Beartrap Meadow and County Park. This midsummer festival is the perfect way for music lovers to unwind and enjoy incredible music, food, and shopping from vendors selling handmade goods. Since the event is literally set in the middle of a meadow, it doesn't get much more beautiful than that!
Schools
Central Wyoming College (there are four campuses: Riverton, Lander, Jackson, and Dubois) is located here along with Casper College, which is ​​one of the largest and most comprehensive community colleges in the region.
